Jenner Headlands Committee

Purpose and Direction The Jenner Community Club, in collaboration with the Sonoma Land Trust, is working toward fulfillment of aspects of its mission statement, namely "To promote the safety and wellbeing of the residents, and to further their educational opportunities, and to conserve, protect and restore the natural, cultural, civic, and historical resources of the area" by focusing volunteer efforts toward the successful fulfillment of SLT's Jenner Headlands acquisition transition process.  By the development of this committee, it is hoped that the JCC can provide both volunteerism and a respected local voice to this effort.
Acquisition and TransitionAs the acquisiton process closes, the process of land management continues, growing with the many faceted responsibilities of wildland preservation and public access.  During this transition, the JCC is striving to assist the Sonoma Land Trust by development of a local volunteer cadre, frequently area residents who are willing to offer their knowledge and abilities.  As SLT's Jenner Headlands Project Manager Brook Edwards becomes familiar with his new responsibilities, he will find he can rely on the members of this committee.
